 Why?
 
Well, because several of my friends have been urging me to start a blog.  But I didn't want to do that until I had a place where I could post PDFs of some of my longer writings.  Blogs don't handle that kind of thing very well.  I think I've solved the document problem with this site. 

And yet, does any of this matter?  Who's actually going to read this thing?  A friend said that writing a blog is like walking naked into a crowded room.  I think it's more like walking naked into a crowded room and nobody notices.
 
But if you're not "nobody," and you've noticed I'm here, then Welcome.  You can read "short bites" on my blog (www.balanceandparadox.blogspot.com) and longer stuff here on this site.  Or you can just forget it all and take a nap.  You may even find a way to combine the two, whether you want to or not.
